I am an Associate professor in the Department of Statistics at the Pennsylvania State University.

My research interests include
  • non-parametric statistics
  • machine learning, statistical learning theory
  • optimal transport and gradient flows
  • reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces, regularization theory, inverse problems

My current research is supported by the award NSF-DMS-CAREER-1945396, "Statistical Learning, Inference and Approximation with Reproducing Kernels."

Prior to coming to Penn State, I was a research fellow in the Statistical Laboratory, Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2014 and was a postdoctoral research associate at Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, University College London, hosted by Dr. Arthur Gretton from 2010 to 2012. I received my Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering in 2010 from the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego, where I was advised by Prof. Gert Lanckriet.
